About BANBEIS:


The only government agency to collect, preserve, distribute and disseminate information and statistics in the educational system of the Bangladesh Education Data and Statistics Bureau (BANBES). In the year 1976-77, the organisation started working as the attached office of the Ministry of Education. It has been acknowledged by the national and international organizations by formulating and supplying education resources in line with the continuous development of education sector. In addition to the education and statistics programs, in the implementation of Vision 2021 and SDG in the present government, BANBEIS has played a vital role in promoting ICT training and ICT education in education sector.

 

About the Upazila ICT Training and Resource Center for Education (UITRCE):


Under the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Korean government, UITRCE has been constructed in 125 upazilas for the purpose of expanding ICT education in the education sector of the country including providing ICT training and grassroots e-services to the teachers in financial support of Exim Bank. The Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the centers on March 2, 2017. Since then, the activities of the centers are in full swing. Through these centers, about 1 lakh teachers have received training on ICT in June 2017. Under the plan to set up centers in all the upazilas of the country, there are ongoing activities for the construction of UITRCE in 160 upazilas in the second phase. In the third phase, the installation of UITRCE will be completed in all the remaining upazilas of the country.

In the UITRCE centers, the employer recruitment process has been completed by creating an Assistant Programmer, a Computer Operator, a Lab Assistant, a Security Guard and a cleaner post. All the terms of UITRCE are in the revenue sector.

Every teacher needs to be trained and trained in ICT, which is mentioned in the ICT Policy 2009. It has also been told to provide access to information facilities to all the citizens of the country.

This center is currently a unique, general structure of upazila level, 2 storey building with 4-storey foundation. Our office has been playing a very important role in improving the quality of human resources through training of ICT field in  Nesarabad upazila and enhancing quality in the field of ICT education.

This "Upazila ICT Training and Resource Center for Education (UITRCE)" has been working on grassroot level in the implementation of Government Vision 2021, Sustainable Development Goals - 2030 (SDGs) and Planning - 2041, by playing a vital role in education and ICT sectors. The UITRCE centers can contribute significantly to the formation of the Golden Bengal.
